Sharon Isaac | Music Therapist & Music Teacher

Sharon started her musical journey learning violin at the age of 6 and hasn’t looked back since! Born and raised in Bahrain, Middle East, Sharon collaborated with various contemporary bands before moving to Waterloo, Ontario, to complete her Bachelor of Music Therapy degree (BMT) at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a certified Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) by The Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy, and is currently working towards obtaining her Certified Music Therapist (MTA) and Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) designations.

 

Sharon’s comprehensive knowledge and understanding from working with toddlers to older adults in multiple settings has influenced her philosophy as a music therapist and educator. Her client-centred approach enables her to provide music lessons/sessions that are accessible, personalized, and engaging for all individuals.

 

Being a multi-instrumentalist, Sharon fills her lessons/sessions with instruments like the violin, piano, guitar, & ukulele. She uses her skills on different instruments to further her clinical facilitation and fluidity as a music therapist and educator and cater to her students’/clients’ needs.

 

Sharon aims to inspire, influence, and impact her students/clients to enhance their individual qualities through the gift of music!
