Victoria Chan | Music Therapist & Music Teacher

Victoria is a highly passionate musician who has been involved in music from a very young age. With a love for singing, playing various instruments, and an eagerness for helping others, it led her to pursue a career in music therapy and music education. She is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Music Therapy (BMT) program with a Minor in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Victoria is a Certified Music Therapist (MTA) and Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and is a certified Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) by The Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy. She is also currently working toward her Music Together Within Therapy License.

 

Victoria holds her Grade 8 Piano Certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and is constantly developing her musical skills and knowledge. With her educational background and ongoing professional development, Victoria is committed to furthering her expertise and providing the highest level of care and support to her students and clients. She aims to create a welcoming and encouraging environment for all students and clients to explore the wonders of music while working towards their goals. Throughout her career, she has practiced with a client-centred focus, carefully adapting to the diverse needs of her students and clients. In a clinical setting, Victoria has experience working both virtually and in person with a wide range of students and clients from infants to older adults in educational, rehabilitative, and mental health settings.

 

Instruments taught: Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Voice, Rudiments Theory, Adapted Music Lessons, Music Therapy Sessions.

 

Victoria is a Certified MTA in Good Standing.
